Inbound marketing is a philosophy built around helping people. Instead of throwing ads on their faces, timelines, and any other places you think you will find them. With inbound, you will create a service that makes your customers feel valued in every stage of the buyer’s journey during the buying process.

inbound is about helping

Three basic methodologies of inbound marketing

  • Attract
  • Engage
  • Delight

Attracting Your customers

Here you guild your customers on various ways they can use your products. it could be through publishing text contents, videos, infographics or any other way you that suits you. Just make sure you are telling your customers how your solution can solve their challenges. During the attraction phase its a good thing to use customer testimonials and discounts.

Engaging your customers

According to the Cambridge dictionary to engage means to occupy or attract someone’s attention or interest. Hubspot has it that the average attention span of 55 per cent of your website visitors is less than 15 seconds. you can see details here. Some of the secret to engaging your customers after attracting then include routine sales calls and offers that meet their needs.

Delighting your customers

During these phase your already know your customers. This is where you get to show your expertise in the service you are offering or the product your are selling. You want to continually provide great contents for your customers all the time.

One thing you much know is the fact that consumers don’t want to be sold to, you don’t want to flash another good design ad on their faces again, but instead, you want to use the information you have about the client to tailor the services you are rendering to suit your customer. Inbound marketing is about presenting help to anyone who is interacting with your company through any medium possible.

In recent times you must have noticed the internet has changed the way we find and know about things. In a similar way the internet has changed your customer’s perspective also. Remember the last time you were going to buy a product online, you checked blogs, forums and other places to get information about the product before buying it.

Customers have the power now!

The customer is king now, though it takes a whole lot of time to lead your customers through using inbound, there is a high chance that whoever will contact your company mean business. Because you have led them to you by answering some of their private questions they might have online as regards to how much advantage they could get from your product offering, you are likely to have new client/customer.

As you think about your inbound marketing approach, it can include a number of different networks and content to bring passive and active customers to your website. The foundational Idea behind this concept is the fact that it’s not enough to just direct people to your website, you have to continue to help them after they have become your customer.

Your marketing, sales and service effort will be focused on helping your current and future customer grow.
